Continuing the small sell off today with this lovely 1960's Seamaster 165.003.

This Seamaster is a ref.165.003 coming from the mid part of the '60's with a very attractive black gloss and silver gilt dial and housing a calibre 552 movement.

The steel case is sharp with well defined lugs which have a unique profile and what I find interesting about this reference, original crown and nice medallion. The inside back of the centre case has some pitting. The pitting can't be seen when the case back is attached, but good to know. When I bought this watch it came with an incorrect 166.010 Seamaster case back, after a 3 year search I have sourced the correct 165.003 case back which is in good condition.

The black gloss dial is extremely beautiful, super glossy and with bright silver gilt lettering, quite tricky to find on this reference. Baton steel hands and markers and a signed Omega crystal.

The calibre 552 with 23 million serial is from approx 1966. It is winding, setting and running well although it hasn't been serviced in the few years I've owned it.

I'm selling this one head only but I can fit a matching black leather strap if required.

€995 net to me will include worldwide Track & Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal for well established forum members only.

The great black dial glut of August '21. It'll be remembered.
