Arrrrgh, I did it again! ;-)
I just bought this Seamaster with a non-working movement.
The idea is to get the 861 repaired for another watch (I hope this will work out. Want to place it in a Mark II).
Or should I keep that white beauty?
I don't know very much about these Seamasters.
What kind of bracelet would fit?

    Thanks for your opinions!

PS: I will provide more pics when I hold it in my hands.

What a shame to use that fine watch as a donor! Nothing I would do.

    The bracelet should be 1116/148

It obviously broke down early in its life, so it seems to be in very good condition. Clean it, change the crystal and have the movement repired. Do not polish the case. Add a bracelet, and you´ll have a really desirable vintage Omega chrono

I would also get this real Jedi fixed. it seems to be relatively rare as I haven't seen too many for sale. In fact I missed one by less than a day at my local vintage shop after having thought about buying it for more than a week... well, my bad.

Oooh, I see, I'm on the wrong track.
The auction told that it is a "Jedi" but wasn't sure and if that counts for something.
    Noob I am.
Thank you very much for this clear statements.

    Here it is!
It seems to be in a fair condition and a fine watch.
The movement looks very good to me (beside it's not working ha ha).
Now I will see what the watchmaker will say about bringing it back to life! ;-)
    I will report.
PS: I really don't know why people are always messing around by opening the case back...

    Thanks!
I found a vintage 1116 bracelet, but without endlinks.
Apparently the 148 endlinks (specially stand alone), are quite difficult to find.
Does someone have an idea for a good alternative for the 148 endlinks? (I think in this constellation it isn't important if vintage, NOS or new, as they are barely visible.).

Now I've got the watch back from the watchmaker.
He repaired the movement and put a new crystal on it. Et voilà....
Meanwhile I bought a very fine vintage 1161 bracelet and now I've got a very fine watch, which I will keep.

But.... I still need some advice for the end links!
As I weren't able to find 148 links, I read somewhere that 699 links would do it too. Well, this is not the case.
Does someone has an idea on that?
    Thanks!

Nice! Enjoy it, and now go find a cal. 861 for your Mark II.

Yes, I have to. But this seems to be a longer project. The best source appears to be a golden, heavyly used Mark II without bracelet or strap. I've seen some for 800USD. But with the current exchange rate to EUR... pew... I really hope that Greece gets their problems straighend so I can buy in USD! Haha...

Your Jedi looks stunning with new crystal and steel bracelet. It's an rare watch you have. Not a lot are for sale per year. And now go indeed find a 861 movement to revive your Mark II. Is it the one with a racing dial or the black dial?

It's the one with the racing dial, which is the only cool one (to my opinion of course!) ;-)

True that. Love the racing dial way better than the more regular black one!
