I am new on this world of watches, I always want to get an Omega and now I finally pulled the Trigger. I bought the Seamaster pro. I so happy now, I wear it almost everyday but I have others watches that I like to wear too and when I don鈥檛 use the Omega I keep it int the box. Two days passed and I put my Seamaster and I notice it is 1 hour behind the current time and 3 days behind the current date. I been reading post but still not understanding. Can someone explain if this is normal or I need to bring the watch to the shop to get check? Do I need to wear the Omega every day in order to this not happened. Please no technical answer. Just a guide for dummies will be appreciated. 馃榾 lol.

So it's actually either 71 or else 59 hours behind?

Not something that could be diagnosed from your post I would think. You could first try and wind it manually about 80 winds and put the watch aside until it stops to see how long the powerreserve lasts (make sure the date has been correctly set).

That watch has a 55 hour power reserve, so even if it had been fully wound when you put it away, after two full days of rest, it would have been nearly at the end of the wind.

But from what you state, it sounds like it stopped shortly after you took it off. I suspect it was never wound fully. These are designed to be wound up, then worn on a regular basis to keep it wound to full power.

Wind it for several minutes, set the time and date, then wear it. If you put it down for 36-48 hours, it should still be running and you can put it on and the auto-winder should charge it if you are reasonably active.

but if you don鈥檛 wear it for days at a time, it will stop. If you don鈥檛 want that, either wind (or wear) it every couple of days, or keep it on a watch winder.

Wow. Interesting. I remember that the sale person did 30 wind and told that I don鈥檛 have to it anymore. But what you guys says it make sense now to me. I will do 80 wind and wear it. Thank you guys for your help, much appreciated. Is there any blog, guide, video where I can read more about this watch and learn a bit more about it.

3 days and an hour in only two days?
Your watch travelled back in time!

The watch was mostly never fully wound when you took it off. If you fully handwind the watch and come back and check that the same problem is happening then I would take it into the shop
