hi.

i have recently purchased this omega waffle dial in 9k solid gold and i was very satisfied when it arrived.
but the seller claims it's yellow gold, but it really looks like rose gold.
is there any way to determine whether it's yellow or rose gold?

thanks in advance

It's difficult to say with any certainty, but adjusting the levels maybe gives you a better idea?

9C gold tends to tarnish rapidly and shows a rose hue then - give it a gentle polish with a polishing cloth and it will turn more yellow

There is more copper in some 9K gold alloys that actual Au (gold), of which there is only 37.5% so even so called yellow 9K can look pretty pink pretty soon as it dulls, and dull it does.

If it is rose gold, you should know it. #1 is rose gold, #2 is yellow gold, #3 is green gold, and #4 is white gold. You can’t confuse rose gold and yellow gold.

I think in the pictures will be very difficult to determine the type of gold because in the picture the light can be tricky. But if you see the watch in your hand in the natural light I do not think will be a problem to see if it is yellow gold or rose gold. By the way I like rose gold more..😀
