Are Omega using more than one single reference for identifying their watches, I'm checking parts for a 311.30.42.30.01.005 and wonder if authorized dealers and Omega service centers might be using something else than 311.30.42.30.01.005 for spare parts and the like.

The reference number 311.30.42.30.01.005 is for one specific watch - the Speedy Pro on a bracelet. However over time a reference number can have some parts inside change. For example 2 different cases are listed under this reference number, so the current 055STZ005922 case, and the previous 055ST1450022 case.

For other reference numbers, such as the old Bond SMP 25318000, there were a total of 3 different cases used over it's lifespan. So in order to get the correct parts for a specific watch, you need both the reference number and the case number.

    Cheers, Al

Thank you very much, I was under the impression that the 311.30.42.30.01.005 was used for external/customer use and that it might exist another internal/service reference for the exact same specific watch. Glad to get that straight.
