·New to this forum and Vintage Omega. I see a nice example on Ebay. 25577-1 Black face with crosshair dial. Is there a way to know approx. production year? The seller does not list. TIA.

You can ascertain the production year from the 8 digit movement number.
I’m also assuming that it’s a 2577 model and not '25577-1'.

The watch is a very bad redial that someone did unprofessionally by hand.
There are other issues, but that alone is enough to run away. It’s not worth a third of the asking.

It should. No offense intended, but it you can’t spot this example as a redial, I’d recommend quite some reading / studying before you hunt. Don’t feel bad about it, we’ve all been there.

Buying from this forum is a good way to get something good at a fair price. That way you don't have to invest a 100 hours to get up to speed in vintage Omega. There are good examples on a daily basis here.
