Dear all. I am hereby selling a ref. 2444 Omega "Dirty Dozen". I am sure that most here will know of the story of the Dirty Dozen watches from the last part of WWII, a series of watches now a stable of military watch collecting. This specimen is not pristine and I have had the hands partially relumed by James Hyman due to part of the existing lume had fallen out. I opted not to have the dial relumed. The movement is an manual wind cal. 30. I had the watch serviced two years ago and have probably worn it two or three times since then. Time keeping and power reserve are good. The dial has some loss of text and the lume has come off partially. The small seconds has some light rust. As mentioned, I only opted to have the hands relumed as I wanted to touch it as little as possible. If you feel different than I, a relume would make it look stunning. The glass has some nicks at the 12 o'clock position. The case is somewhat worn, showing signs of regular use. Engravings are still deep and crisp, showing no sign of case refinishing. The lug width is 18mm and the lug bar is fixed as per specs. I am asking €1,400 for this serviced and very wearable military Omega, tracked shipping included.
