    can any of you experts explain the red star on some Omega vintage models? Does it add to value or not? Curious ...

    It was just for marketing purpose. IMO it does not add to the value

    red stars were pretty much to identify piecies to brazil market. They were 30mm and same teddington caliber.

    In the ad, it is written just under the watch the following: "The star under the dial identifies the Teddington Model as the wrist watch with the very same caliber model that achieved the best precision result registered so far in Teddington".

    /me speaks Brazilian portuguese.

    Maybe not maestro, but it’s hard to find an oversize example with a clean dial;)
