Omega Red Box - fake?!

Hello!

I have an Omega Seamaster 600 136.011 dated by serial # for 1965 and I want to get an original, correct box for it. I have boxes for my other watches, I have OCD to be sure, etc.

I just finished reading the mega thread on boxes which confirmed my research. Red Box 1501. A relatively common box and I almost bought one inner/outer today but it looks too clean...

Is this a fake? Typically, I’d like to see a little more honest wear but I’m not familiar enough with the box market to know if NOS (new old stock) is a thing, here.

It is not OCD if this box doesn’t match the condition of your watch.

BTW where are the photos of that watch? We love photos 😗

Nobody wears boxes. It’s not uncommon to see like new boxes, that have been sitting for decades in watchmaker’s stocks or in collections, for sale.

If nobody takes time to reply your thread after some hours, the reason could be the thread itself. Bumping after only some hours might not be the best start here, think of it.

Thanks for the advice! Here are some photos of the watch. Not a beauty queen but I love it:

Somewhat ironic that a case made by Ervin Piquerez SA (EPSA), has let so much water in to damage the dial !

Ironic, indeed. A bad o ring with daily wear, I would imagine. I can’t see anyone actually diving with this to get the added pressure but ‍♂️
