Hello folks, This is my first post here! Happy to finally be a member. I stumbled across a beautiful watch on ebay from a reputable seller, and as an avid fan of RCAF goods was interested to know more. I can't seem to find much information about it online, so I figured I would try reaching out to the experts. Does anyone here have one or know anything about the history? Thanks so much in advance!
I don't think it's an RCAF issued watch, it would not have a personalised engraving if it was. Maybe bought by an RCAF member? Maybe Buster can add some info.
Does anybody else have concerns about the dial? The spacing of the letters in "OMEGA" looks a bit wonky and I don't like the way the printed sub-dial seems offset within the circular indentation.
Yes, I have massive concerns about the dial too - given the design of the sub-dial print and the logo - IMO it is a bad re-print
dial is repainted . and very bad...... whatever this is, it is a private purchase and the owner had something RCAF engraved. it is a normal watch with private engravings. not very good, i`d say. kind regards. achim
Per Achim's message. Achim has clarified the dial. It is a private purchased piece by a RCAF member, not military issue, no military markings/ broad arrow. Cheers, Buster
Thank you all very much for the info. For some reason it didn't occur to me that someone would have their watch engraved, but of course they would. Cheers!
