Looking to purchase a Omega Ranchero. Found a few but they don't have the Arrow Hand. Are they still real Rancheros? Also if anyone knows a good seller selling Rancheros that would be helpful!! Thank you
Yeah they look real... real awful. You might want to do some reading up on how to spot redials etc. You have a couple of posts with some god awful watches asking if they are the real deal, so be very careful or you will get burned. Doing ones homework before buying is important.
Seemingly, you know next to nothing about this model - why don't you take an hour off and search "Ranchero" in the vintage Omega subforum? Pretty much everything you'll need to know is there...
Welcome to the forum, OP. I think what ConElPueblo meant to say was welcome here and I am sure you will find great people willing to help out and share their knowledge. Since you are new you may not be aware of great resources and information that's searchable here. please consider doing a search in the vintage Omega subforum where it would give you great education on this subject.
And here's another one to avoid:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/beetledan/Cycling/image_zpseojizjxi.jpeg The "super-subdial" variety! I guess we should be thankful that there's always (?) a give-away on these fake dials.
I tried to get the Mondani's to consider publishing a volume of their exquisite books on the Railmasters, Rancheros etc., but Mrs. Mondani tells me that it's not in heir plans...too bad...it would have been super helpful.
Totally OT, but I have a parcel from Guido and Franca sitting in the front room. But I can't open it until my birthday in two weeks time!
There's a useful thread here too OP started by DIV https://omegaforums.net/threads/ranchero-redials-101.41277/ Sadly there are many more redialed and messed with Rancheros than there are legit examples, so you'll have to do a lot of filtering out on your search, but the good ones are well worth hunting for. Good luck!
