·Today I have for sale a seldom seen Omega Ranchero from the 1970's. These were produced exclusively for the Belgian market in I believe the mid 1970's. They were available in a variety of finishes and this IMHO is the best version in steel and black.
The dial is very attractive indeed in a charcoal matt black with raised steel baton markers, white syringe hands with a steel seconds hand and tritium lume throughout which has developed a lovely warm colour and is all perfectly intact. The original Omega signed crystal has a small nick around 12.00, on the wrist it is hardly noticeable, the new owner can decide to source a new crystal or leave as it is.
The stainless steel screw back case is in fine shape with a well defined chamfer of the lugs and a sun burst finish flat bezel. The Omega logo and wrench notches on the back cover are still fresh and sharp. Coming in at around 36mm it has a good heft on the wrist with it's sporty look and feel.
The cal 1012 has a 38 million serial number which is approx 1974, so quite an early specimen and although it might not be the prettiest movement ever produced by Omega it is functioning well, winding and setting as it should do with the date changing over around midnight. No service history whilst in my hands.
I have provided pictures of the watch on both a steel Omega 1119 stretch rivet bracelet and also a new green/brown strap. Both look cool, the 1119 matches the watch well and is period correct and the strap colour compliments the lume really well. One of the stretchy spring link springs although functioning could use a little attention to get it perfect.
The buyer can choose to purchase either on the strap or on the bracelet (or both of course) so the two prices are:
With strap €895, or with bracelet €1150, Worldwide Track & Trace shipping will be included at my asking prices. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal for established forum members only
Any questions...just ask! 😀
