Hi, I have for sale an interesting example of an Omega Ranchero. For full disclosure, this is actually an "un-Frankened" watch. I purchased the dial and hands in an incorrect case with the wrong movement and subsequently purchased a Seamaster with the 2990-1 case and a cal 267. It is now in my opinion a fantastic looking Ranchero. The lume on the hands and dial have an amazingly even patina. The case has minor surface scratches from age but I don't believe has been polished. I purchased the donor Seamaster from here and was told the movement was serviced in Dec 2012. I can't confirm that though but it runs as it should. The only obvious flaw that it has is the lume on the 6 o'clock marker has chipped away near the bottom right corner. Unfortunate but I wasn't going to risk "fixing" it. I also see some with a white sub seconds hand and not sure which is correct. You could simply paint this hand if it's supposed to be white but I think it looks better matching the other hands. Everything is Omega as far as I know. There are so many fakes floating around that it makes finding a market value on these quite difficult. Google and eBay searches are quite useless. I've seen "original" ones hit $5K at auction houses. If my price is way off, I'm sure the good folks of OF will tell me I'm an idiot 馃槈

Brand: Omega
Model: Ranchero
Ref: 2990-1
Year: circa 1959

Features: broad arrow hands, sub seconds, manual wind movement.

Movement: cal. 267
Service History: Unknown, however, it was indicated to me Dec 2012 when I purchased the new movement. Everything works as it should.

Case: minor surface scratches typical for its age. No major dings.
Dial: almost flawless, except for the noted lume plot at 6 o'clock
Hands: Excellent condition. Lume matches markers.
Crown: bowler crown. Came on the donor case.
Crystal: surface scratches. I believe they could be polished out.
Strap: will come with an Omega 16mm deployant, on a brown Nomos shell cordovan strap.
Box and Papers: none.

Price: USD$3,500 via PayPal and includes international shipping to most countries (from Toronto, Canada) and insurance via Parcel Pro.

Pictures: I've tried to capture everything I've described but these are iPhone pics so there are limitations.

Any questions let me know. Thanks for looking.

BOGO!!!

I'll throw in the donor Seamaster as well. Unfortunately the hands got re-lumed but hey, it's free.

Open to reasonable offers on the Ranchero. Thanks.

I think I must have been too honest in my listing. Let me just steal the more vague description from this eBay Ranchero that had 45 bids and sold for $350 more than I'm asking. Just looking at the dials, I know which one I like better. I've bolded the changes.

@haga888 I'm surprised this isn't sold yet.

I know what you are saying about honesty, I'm shocked my Favre Leuba Bathy 160 is also still FS. But at least we sleep well at night. I'd usually say it's not the watch it's the price but I think this is a fair price for this example. GLWS
