What's going on with that clasp? Is that aftermarket?

a bit beat up, but to be expected for a vintage Railmaster. I'm not sure about the hands -- experts here will know. i think there is one listed elsewhere for about $11K USD with the same hands.

a nice find! are you going to pick it up?

I was thinking the same, looks like it´s trying to be a 7077, but I don´t see any double stretch links....

I find the watch too far gone. All parts look to be in poor condition and we haven´t seen the movement yet. I´ve been looking for years now for a decent ( and not stratospherically priced) Railmaster but I would pass on this one. Yes it is a Railmaster, but every time I would strap that on I´m sure my first thought would be, `I really do need a better Railmaster`

My thoughts exactly - I personally would rather wait then settle and be disappointed. Not to mention most of the fun is the actual hunt.

you could always downgrade to a Ranchero... they might be easier to come by than a good condition Railmaster (or other 29xx)...

I'm wondering if its either some regional / local production of the 7077 made to a lower standard, like the ones stamped made in Mexico, or if its a modern replica and they've intentionally gotten the Omega symbol wrong in order to avoid getting sued for trademark infringement.
