Omega possibly circa 1940’s

Hi All,

Not sure if someone can help me with this. I have inherited the below Omega watch and I would like to find out it’s model and if possible an estimated price.

Although it has a few scratches due to wear and tear it seem to be in pretty good shape inside and works just fine.

I did some research and the closest watch I found that resembles it is an Omega Seamaster circa 1940’s but they all seem to have Seamaster written on the watch face unlike mine.

I look forward to your help and feedback

Thanks in advance

I had the same situation recently. Just started to Google ”Omega serial number”, ”case reference number”, ”caliber” and found out exact year, what differences there were compared to previous/following year models, etc.

Then, I put all the info here for confirmation.

But, mine says ”Seamaster”, so it was obviously easier to proceed with the whole research.

Good luck! I think you’re going to find it interesting AND fun.

I’d say 1958, give or take a year. To know for certain would be to order an extract from Omega.
