I have two Omega 17L pocket watch movements that need balance hole jewels. Does anyone know where to locate these hole jewels? I have no problem locating American made pocket watch hole jewels, but not Omega.

That watch is likely old enough that genuine ruby jewels were used. You may have to settle for synthetic ruby. Jewels like these. These are all genuine ruby, from red to pale, and one genuine sapphire jewel. Synthetic jewels came into use circa the 1930s. Up until then, American watches also used genuine stones.

They are probably rubbed in. They can be replaced in the original setting but it takes some skill. Parts movement would be an easier choice.

More luck than skill : it is hard to find the correct set jewel to use, it's shape is very important and they have not been made for a long time. When I am stuck I make a bushing and use a modern jewel, but it is not always possible.

I doubt it has real jewels, I think that would be more of a 18th century thing, or real high grade horology.
