Hello mates, new member here. I have been a big Rolex and Panerai fun since 2010 but recently I have started looking at Omegas as well. I would like to know your opinions about the solid gold first generation PO since I have found one at a very good price locally. I have read some scary things about the 3313 mvt and at this price level I wouldn't want to be disappointed. The specific watch was sold in 2015 so I guess it might have the 3313c inside it but I can't be sure. Is there any way to find out with opening it? Opinions on this watch?
So good news yes? From what I read is by far the best compared to the previous versions with no problems?
Yes, this is the 3 level co-axial escapement, so it does not have the inherent flaw that the 2 level did. Cheers, Al
I’ve got the same movement in my POC, and I’ve had no issues. It’s a great feeling movement to set. neat rarely seen version. I find these wear a bit smaller then the 45.5 would suggest. At least compared to later planet oceans that are thicker.
Ok I watched that video and I love mine more. Now I want the gold version lol. man that guy can sell a watch.
Wished Omega flexes their material engineering muscles and harden the gold, nope, just plain old 18k, this fatty scratches like nobody business.
My new old stock solid red gold Planet Ocean Chrono (3313D) finally bought today. Double the weight and half the price of a solid gold Daytona! Like?
What is the exact weight ? was told it is around 330grams, just curious, and congrats ! wear it in good health !
I mean, they do now with Moonshine Gold, but that's only been on one gold watch so far. And technically, you can't really harden gold unless you go down to 14k or even less. I guess you could say 18k is the hardened version of 24k.
Wow if you count out the mechanism , the glass and the little extras with the extra links your easily have around 300 grams that's almost 10 troy ounces of 18k, just in gold right now you have around 13,000us !
