    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anybody of you know whether in 2016 the New Planet Oceans (METAS-certified) will only be available with the orange/black and silver/black bezel or also in the 'original colors'.

Currently planning to buy a PO this year. Is there a big difference in quality between the 2016 versions (METAS) and the earlier versions?

    Thank you.

There will be multiple colors such as black, blue and white. And others.

My guess is that between old and new, the difference in price will be bigger than the difference in performance, relatively speaking ;)

Upon searching a few different hashtags on things like Instagram you can see a number of the other variations that people at Basel were able to snap some photos of.

In 43.5 they are set to release a few versions in steel ($7,000 with strap), titanium ($9,400 w/strap), and in Sednagold ($26k-ish, which this time around is blue and gold) and then of course the GMT variations on strap and bracelet ($8,500ish).

In 45.5mm there have been stainless ones released ($9,000ish), a not so awful looking titanium version ($11,400), the two-tone SS/sednagold ($17,400), and sednagold on strap ($30k). Not sure if there is a non-chronograph 45.5mm anymore though.

All summed up, I'm really happy I decided to go ahead and pick up the 45.5mm titanium 8500 and 45.5mm ceragold 8501 prior to the price increase. There was about a 3 week lapse or so between the price increase date and further images released so I was sweating the chance that something amazing was set to be released. The introduction of the ceramic bezel across the board is smart but apart from that I can't say I'm overly impressed with the new POs.

However if there is black dial, ALL black ceramic bezel (none of that orange rubber nonsense), stainless steel on bracelet with the 8900 movement then I might be persuaded to update my 2500.
