I’ve been a Rolex guy for the past 10 years (Deep Sea/James Cameron currently) but when I saw the blue dial/bezel on a bracelet with the in-house 8900 caliber movement, I was sold. So glad to see Omega finally upgrading their bracelet clasp for easy adjustment with the push of a button. I’m glad to be a part of the Omega family. I’ve been reading this forum for years even though I have not been an owner until now.

I may be biased [emoji16], but that is a beautiful timepiece. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it.

I do enjoy this blue Plant Ocean - but I cannot wear blue - it just doesn't work on me. Some can and some can't.

Do you only wear watches with black dials?

No - I have a super-thin gold dress Seiko (gift from the wife) which I wear a few times a year. I also have a silver Seiko (silver dial) which I keep as a back-up. But, for the last 20+ years the older I get the more I feel that black dials suit me best.

IMG_1625.JPG I find the blue goes with a lot. It is a real chameleon, gray unless it's directly in the sunlight.

Really - a chameleon you say? You may not believe this but at this very moment I'm waiting on my new Seamaster 300 SMP to arrive via FedEx sometime today before 8pm. I ordered it from mdgrwl and the package is "out-for-delivery" so I'm waiting on it. Anyway, he had a blue and a black and I thought hard about the blue - but I just couldn't pull the trigger on it. Too much money for me have a problem and not to like it or want to wear it. I wonder if it's the same blue?

I am now into more than 2 months of ownership and this timepiece has easily become my daily driver. I realize the Speedmaster appears to rule in this forum’s many threads and I understand that, but the Planet Ocean has won me over. Comfortable to wear, perfect size for 7.5in wrist and easy clasp adjustment in addition to in-house movement and has only lost 3/4 second per day since I initially set it with the atomic clock.

I finally entered the PO world with the blue 43.5 blue. It keeps amazing time and has great presence. I did order a blue rubber/grey stitching band and deployment for a change of pace. IMG_3345.JPG IMG_3346.JPG IMG_3350.JPG

I agree. I tried both on while on vacation in the Caribbean. I ended up with a Rolex Hulk.. however, I liked the Black/Orange just a bit more.

    Awesome looking watches.

Has anyone owned the 42 and 43.5 versions at the same time? Is there much real world difference in the sizing or feel?

I'm thinking of getting one soon and the prices of a year or 2 old are very attractive but they are 42mm.

I'm not too bothered about the change from chronometer to master but how it looks I do!
