Dial is correct, but badly damaged
Case has wear can’t see lugs very well.
Crown looks original.
Hard pass due to bad dial IMO.

OP......you are at the heart of knowledge on Constellations and really all things Omega.....there are long dedicated threads with many pictures of original Constellations, Seamasters, etc on which to learn.

That dial is horrible. Unless this is dirt cheap, like £200 I can’t see why anyone would be interested in buying it.

It also looks to be missing the bezel, which is a big issue.

I think it’s right - but it looks large due to the missing bezel.

It’s great that you are looking at Constellations but this example is a real dog.
Some folks like patina but this is simple damage and with the missing bezel it is a non starter.

As others have mentioned on this thread OP, many people seem to be jumping in to buy a pie pan Connie lately. That’s great, but examples like this are a terrible buy. I’d liken it to buying a badly crash damaged car. But even then the watch world treats things differently. The 0.1% who buy a crash damaged car and can repair it, good for them. But most collectors in watches like originality.

Second thing here is that, yes it’s not about value retention etc but if you ever find yourself in a tricky spot and need to sell, this is going to be worth next to nothing and take long to sell unless it’s at bargain basement prices.

Lastly, when I set out on my vintage watch collection journey around 10 years ago I purchase a C case constellation. It was cheap. But it was a dog. Barely ran, my watchmaker just about got it running, the case was soft and over polished. It was only after I sold it for peanuts due to the condition I realised I should’ve bought a better condition example. Trouble is, I had to learn what a good condition example looked like.

I haven’t been on the forum all that long as a member but have been studying threads in the forum and others for years. It’s an absolute minefield vintage omega. Be careful, take your time, don’t buy this! You’ll end up regretting it.
