Hello,

I'm new on this forum and i need your help. I were in Brussels and saw a beautiful Omega Pie pan...but i haven't buy it. It was a big regret...I found this new one but i doubt that it's a real Omega. The sellers tells that it's an Omega PiePan CALIBRE 551 - REFERENCIA:167.005,FABRICADO EN SUIZA.
TAPA ACERO INOXIDABLE,LOGO CONSTELLATION(OBSERVATORIO LUNAR).

Can you help me ?

Have you googled the reference number to see other examples? Why do you think it's not real? Where did you find this one?

The case is badly over polished and dial has been redone poorly.馃檨

When you say redial, do you think "Franken" ?

Please see my first post. If you bother to do your own research, you'll see why.

This is a real Omega but the fonts and lettering on the dial are incorrect for this model, see picture below for an origional example...

Notice how sharp the facets are on the case lugs and look at the printing on the dial and note the differences. Also look at the minute markers and the differences there. The biggest giveaway on this dial is the incorrect placement of the "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial. A vintage watch with a redial will lose roughly 50% of its value.

He is referring to the one you posted. He'd like to know how much one like yours would be.

This one...the PiePan
I've had this one for a few years now and not an expert on pricing. But lately the way pricing has been spiraling and in this condition, I'd estimate you would pay somewhere in the range of $1600 to $2000. It certainly is possible to find one on eBay or the likes for less but you would need to be knowledgeable about what you're looking at!

I would not spend money on that.

Personally, I would pass on this at any price, just my opinion though.

What they said. For this price range, you can find something better and original.
