image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hi, After awaiting for almost a decade added this omega 2996 , issued to Pakistan Air Force in my collection. I have seen and collected omega 2914s seamasters/railmaster which occasionally come on sale but have never seen PAF 2996 . In my opinion this is rarer than 2914s as very few were issed to the pilots on trial basis. The authenticity of the PAF issed 2996 can be verified from omega archives. Pls comment and would love to see any other example like this one . Regards.

What a lovely thing. Ground crew or pilots, I'd have one, well done.

According to the data I have the movement serial numbers of 2914 and 2996 are mix and match only last 4 digits are different . This clearly means that they were issued in the same era. My idea is that Air Force issued 2914 and 2996 to the pilots for their comments / approval and finally 2914s were approved and issued to the pilots. This can only be the reason for 2996 issued in limited quantities. The research continues.......

All of the 2914 cal 285 came with movement marked PAF. The 135.004 came without the PAF marking and can be varified from omega archives, these had cal 286 movements.

Hence that proves my point .......PAKISTAN AIR FORCE issued watches have become sought after watches for collectors . Omega railmaster/Seamaster is now a $10k watch in good condition . I was always of the opinion that omega 2996 is rarer than 2914 as few were issued to PAF. Someone is offering this paf 2996 with omega extract of archives proving it's authenticity eBay item no. 282011616584 check it out. image.jpeg

Hi Sohail, did anyone debate their worthiness? You did well to get yours when you did.
I've been watching this one and certainly Omega's new policy of specifically indicating military delivery in their certificates will be critical for those, as the PAF markings appear so easy to fake.
