What do you think about this Omega 2603 oversize case?

    Is his dial “too patinated”?

Too Patinated? IMO yes. Do you find it attractive?

    I’m undecited about it.
It’s not easy to find an original dial on a jumbo Omega.

Not hard to find an original dial, hard to find a really nice dial.

I like it. I would leave it as it is now.

Too much muck for me personally, there are better examples available.

The amount of patination that is "too much" is super subjective. If you like it, go for it.

    I think it's a vintage aftermarket...

Do you think that an expert watchmaker could clean the dial without damage?

It's certainly not Omega - you're probably right that it's aftermarket.

"Only clean a dial if you're ready to lose it"

No-one can tell beforehand if a dial cleaning will go well and I don't think that being an expert watchmaker would necessarily mean that you're adept at doing this sort of work.

Not sure I would clean this. Think you have to buy into the look and live with the patina or look for a better example that is more inline with the look you want. Patience is key when on the hunt and know where you can compromise

Agreed, I'd never, ever, ever buy a watch with a dial cleaning in mind, just way too risky and with a very slim chance of real success

I LOVE patina, but honestly not sure on this dial. I love seeing what age does, but also love when that wear is even and unique. This doesn’t personally fall into that category for me, but definitely in the eye of the beholder and DEFINITELY better than a redial!
