Just bought this one of the bay. Made a reasonable offer that was exepted. It,s coming from Sweden and I was searching for one for a long time. I hope that when I have it one my wrist it looks as nice on the pictures.

I have one exactly the same up for sale here at OF: A very nice find indeed! These are quite uncommon beauties!
Love the black dial! Whatever Omega used as paint, they should have continued using it. Later dials do not last that well? :(

I think it is not a redial so the paint is a good one for a watch from 1942 -43

Do not worry! It is not a redial. The thing I was referring to is how well these WW2 dial age compared to the 1950's and early 1960's Omega dials.
Maybe only me, but I suspect they used better paint and lacquer back in those days?

I think you are right. A lot of dials from later omega,s aren,t as good as the old one,s

Two great pieces of history, if vacation wasn't imminent and the Queen so scrutinizing, I would be both a "Gentleman and an Officer" !

Where is the Central Scrutinizer ? I miss him.

"Oh look dear, they sell watches. Why I don't I run in for a bit while you try things on at your leasure?"

Feb 1 until Mar 1, my 4th trip to the same spot. Staying in a condo in Belnem. I'll have some goat stew in your honor !
Significant only in that I swore I would never go to the same place twice because there is too much of the world I haven't seen!! Second best reef in the world (waiting for JiminOz to invite).

Would be a great spot for a winter GTG !!!!

I think Jim may be too far south. You want to go North to Qld, where the Saltys can appreciate a man of you're physical aptitudes. :D

Appreciate your observation. My one aptitude hangs lower than the other from a football (real football) injury.

BTW, I thought my admirers were called "Sheilas" not "Sallys", too many "Dundee" movies, I suppose.

Northeast Australia is a grail for me, I'll pm you sometime with a long story involving my Grandson.
Sydney is also a special place and I'm afraid when this Yank gets "down under" , I will have to fulfill many bucket list goals.
A real, heartfelt benefit of this forum is the bonding and the Brotherhood fostered by the many members of such diverse cultures that we all seem to accept and embrace.
If we can all grow together with common goals, is this not a good sign for the World?

To bad all mass is gone from the hourmarkings. They shall be painted with it. The mass has been brushed away. The crown is replaced. Make sure that the movement is 26.5 T3 PC

That´s a very, very nice watch, Simon. What about the diameter of the case? Pretty small?

31mm. Still wearable, but feels a bit small when swapping from let's say a Speedmaster or similar.

Oh, yes, 31 mm is very small, especcially if you have large hands and wrists like me.But the watch is a very nice piece indeed.
