I'm wearing mine with a brown alligator strap now.
As classy as that looks, this watch only looks fitting on the mesh for me.

Since the thread was revived, I figure I'll add an update. The link posted was the same post I used to slowly bend the bracelet. I will recommend doing it slowly. The moment the fit is good, stop. Overbending it can make it too loose. I'd say slowly bending it may give you half a size in fit.

I went down a full hole size after bending it. The mesh will break in over time as well. It sits much more snug against my wrist now.

I went with the snuggier fig as the other just became too loose as the mesh bracelet broke in more. Slight indentation on the skin. The pressure points are from the design, it really puts the pressure right on the claps and makes an oval shape.

I also tried the reverse bracelet where you flip the mesh and the buckle is on the ulnar side of the wrist. It does fit better since the bracelet is thickest under the bucket. It was just too weird aesthetically for me though so I switched back.

How did you end up bending it?

Similar to that. Keep the links on, slowly bend it a little past the stiff point, maybe around a pill bottle in the direction of your natural wrist curves. Slow and steady. It will slowly loosen up the links and become soft and more pliable. Don't be aggressive.
