I have found a 1962 Seamaster with what appers to be a S/N of: 19058824. How can I verify that this is a genuine Omega example? Thanks in advance for any help.

Could be a genuine mvmt. serial number. But still a Fake. Even a Clairvoyant can't help with this level of information given....

You can take the watch to an expert on vintage watches for authentication, but I think they are quite hard to find TBH. Or you can spend several months studying vintage Omega watches to become an expert yourself. Or you can post comprehensive clear photos and leverage the combined expertise on the forum.

Just a hint: Choose door #3

Looks like a very nice example.

Thanks very much! I have been on the hunt for a '62 or '63 model for quite some time. I purchased this one from a very reputable jeweler and am hoping this is the end of my quest!

Appears to be a nice example. What was the purchase price?

You got lucky then. It's best to vet the watch here before you buy it.
Enjoy your nice Seamaster.

Agree 100%. I’ve worked with this jeweler for quite some time. He offered a 1-year service warranty (including sending it to an Omega-approved service center, if needed) plus a money back guarantee if the watch fails to meet my expectations. I felt pretty safe grabbing it while it was still available. Picked it up for considerably less than $1,000, which beats other similar examples I’ve found in the past.
