That's odd. I ordered a NATO strap from Omega's US website last year and they included two sets of spring bars and a spring bar tool with the tool kit.

How many NATO strap tool kits did they send you?

I ordered 5 straps and they were send from Switserland.

From left to right:

Multi colored polyamide 031CWZ010690
Blue polyester 031CWZ011614
Dark brown polyester 031CWZ007566
Bond black grey polyamide 031ZSZ002045
Bond black red polyamide 031ZSZ002042

On the second picture a comparison between the OMEGA and Time Factors one.

Verdict, IMHO pricy but definitely worth the money if you are looking for good quality.

On items included with the straps. In Europe I have to select a spring bar tool separately. I might be different for other continents

I found one of my pics!!!
nIce photo. What do you think of the leather quality ? Leather is not stitched as with the first generation Apple Watch classic buckle strap.

BTW protective tape is still on the hardware of 2 of them 😉

So I'm not going to be able to avoid the scratches from strap changes... I might have to wait a while until I decide to take the bracelet off.

Scratches on the inside of the lug (where the bracelet and lug surfaces meet) are inevitable, scratches on the outside of the lug can be avoided with some tape.

Here is mine. I will be ordering another one or two in next month or so

Yellow is not something you see too often. I like it.

I've tried it all. Different types of tape and I even bought one of those spring bar tools that depresses both ends at once (from china).
I had to send it back because it was a horrible tool.

No matter the technique I still end up scratching the lugs. It also bothers me way more than it should especially for a dive watch that should have a few scratches here and there.

Odd 🙁 I had to switch the strap on my Steinhart a few nights ago and ended up using a flathead screwdriver since I couldnt find my springbar tool (would not do this on my more expensive watches). Needless to say, the insides of the lugs are scratched up but the back of the lugs are mostly ok.

Maybe wait until you're ready to send your watch in for service before taking off the strap. They (should) fix the scratches for you during service and once you're using natos you dont have to fiddle with the bars again.

Or just get a ceramic watch 😁 lol

Yes, it’s a bit wild but oddly really suits the watch.

Got my Speedy today. Enjoy the straps, which are very well made....
The colorful straps on the Speedy are nice.
Also the browns are growing on me.

Been wearing mine for a fortnight now. Super impressed with the quality, far exceeds a basic NATO.

I originally though the grey and blue would go better with the blue SMPC but reckon it works very well with the black version too. Sets off that ink pool of a dial very well 👍.

Happy Friday all!

I did an unboxing post of the black with grey border a few years ago if you're interested in some close up pics of the strap details.

Here are some random pics. I think my Speedy looks the best on a NATO. My Planet Ocean looks pretty good too (thinking about getting the blue with grey border), but my Aqua Terra would just feel strange on one.
