Omega NATO straps

Hi OF🍒

I’m looking for a NATO strap for a 2022 Explorer I 36 mm and I have questions regarding Omega OEM NATO straps.

The Explorer I has a 19 mm lug width, while Omega lists their NATO straps as “19–20 mm”. I honestly don’t know what that means in practice:

Is it actually a true 19 mm strap? Or a 20 mm strap that’s meant to squeeze into 19 mm lugs?
Does anyone here have hands-on experience with Omega NATO straps, especially on watches with 19 mm lug width - maybe even with the Explorer 1?
Will it fit properly or look awkward, or is this a bad idea altogether?
Would you recommend Polyester, Polyamid or coated Nylon?

Also, what do you think about Omega NATO straps? Does it make sense for the price, or are there better alternatives out there?

Any real-world experience or recommendations would be much appreciated!

Thanks guys😀

No experience with Omega NATO, but Tudor's fabric straps for, e.g., the BlackBay 36 are described as 19-20mm and, of course, they fit the BB36 with its 19mm lug width. FWIW, I think Tudor's straps are significantly better than NATO: single-pass so less bulk under the watch, and the Jacquard weave feels like nothing else. The spring bar pockets are, AFAIK, unique as well. They give you the benefit of a double-pass NATO (preventing the watch from sliding on the strap) in a single-pass design. Unfortunately the color selection is quite limited. I think the only ones available are solid black, grey camo, and olive with red/khaki stripes. But if any of those suit you, they might be worth considering.
