    Hi,
    I thought I would share my latest find a 1937 8.69 million serial cal 23.4 SC original dial. The case is in real tidy condition for an 80 year old Omega. 20180108_201834.jpg 20180108_201845.jpg 20180108_201946.jpg 20180108_202136.jpg 20180108_202001.jpg 20180108_202014.jpg 20180108_201935.jpg 20180108_201834.jpg 20180108_201845.jpg 20180108_201946.jpg 20180108_202136.jpg 20180108_202001.jpg 20180108_202014.jpg 20180108_201935.jpg

Beautiful watch! I’m not sure of the hands, they may be a replacement.
Not really. The 23.4SC was the first central second caliber made by Omega, but the very first model of SC watch they made was the Medicus, with square case. The next models, one year later, were the St Christophe, the Naiad, the Chantilly and the gold cased Monaco. I can post some pictures and catalog/advertising scans this evening if you are interested.

    Lovely.
Good to see you here. Is my (old) one button chrono still in your good hands?

Many thanks to fellow owners and info on the Naiad Omega. Here is my other one which I got an Omega extract from the archives for. Quick wrist shot 20171028_134022.jpg I had on my phone.
    Cheers.

OP's watch (and also the ones posted by Bubba48 and TDN-DK) are ref 2064.
Some of mine (white, black and two-tone dials) say hello :

    Raymondo5508'sone is a ref 2111, also named Naiad :

There is a third version of the Naiad, ref 2120, which differs from 2064 by its screw down caseback :

    Here is mine :

Interesting to see caseback variations on those models too...

I know some collectors look askance at engraved watches, but there is something so charming about the “Christmas 1938” on this one. Congratulations on your find! I think it’s very poetic that someone who esteems it so much now has this former gift in his possession.

So fascinating that this was advertised as a sports watch!
