Hello again. I have question how to check to what watch ref. number movement belongs if i have only movement and dont know from what watch it came. I have like some movements i have no idea what watch it came. Is there website i can enter movement mechanism serial number and i get result to what watch case width ref number it belongs ??? Lets say i have Omega 552 movement width serial number 26624391 . How to find to what watch case reference number its been made ? Is there any website i can check movement serial number ?
If push comes to shove, Omega should be able to provide an extract from just the serial no. It'll cost around €150 though
No one but Omega can say "this serial cane in this case". The 552 was used in a very wide range of references.
No, not so. There was a clear and correct answer. Omega is the only entity on the planet who can provide the information you seek. You can apply here.
Would I help the guy who said "Stop PMing me!" in a thread and then he continued to send me PM's? Yes in fact I would, but unfortunately the Omega Extranet serial number search function doesn't work with vintage watches. Omega want to keep making money...errr sorry..."preserving their heritage" by forcing people to use the archive service at 150 CHF a pop. Any serial number below 50 million is now a crap shoot on the Extranet in terms of getting a result. Remember that Omega will provide an Extract for watches older than 2000, so that seem to be about the cut-off time (more or less depending on model) for serial numbers working on the Extranet.
