Hi ive just been made aware the movement in my 70s moonwatch is a factory replacement it has a serial no but it is five figures and starts with an R.
I have done some research and im aware this was common practice from the mid 50s to the 70s.
Im not planning to sell it as i love it. It has the rarer step dial too.
My question is how do you market such a watch if i do sell in the future obviously the new R serial has to be openly disclosed. Now to value can i consider it a much lower value or is an 861 copper movement original Omega ok in this case.

Pictures of the watch? And caseback/ movement.

I’d say minimal impact on a 70’s. Almost none of it’s marked on the extract.

You don’t see them so that’s kinda neat.
