Omega Speedmaster Automatic Chronometer Chronograph 125th Anniversary, circa 1974. 22-jewel caliber 1041 runs great, keeps good time, and chronograph functions as designed. Service history is unknown. Original link band (far more comfortable to wear than the bar bracelet, but bar bracelets are still available if you need the look and discomfort).

Condition is mint. See the photos. The watch is sold as-is.

$2,830 USD. Price includes shipping, insurance, and PayPal. Wire the funds and send me your prepaid shipping label, and take a hundred thirty bucks off. I will ship ONLY TO AN ADDRESS IN THE UNITED STATES. If you live outside the U.S., please provide a shipping address in the U.S.

I am not interested in trades. References available on request.

Best to contact me by email:
metersfirst AT gmail DOT com.

Thanks for reading. Bryan Brooks

Price lowered to $2,740. Includes shipping and insurance (US address only as noted above), and PayPal. If sending wire and/or pre-paid insured shipping label, contact me for better price.

Over 160 views and not one contact. I know it's not the watch, it's nearly perfect. Must be the price? Wanted to keep it in the Omega Forum family (because we love Omega and we love mint), but will be posting this for another audience if there is no interest here. I will consider reasonable cash offers, but no trades.

Bryan - If you will only ship within the US that excludes the majority of members here, so that might have something to do with the lack of offers.

Understood, and agree!

I re-read my post, and it sounds a bit "rant"-like. That was not my intention, so apologies if it came across that way.

Each of the four times I tried shipping abroad, my experience was a complete disaster. As a hobbyist with a full-time job unrelated to the hobby, I have just enough time to drop a box off at the post office on my lunch break. If I'm lucky I get to eat lunch, too!

I just don't have the time for special packaging and filling out forms. Each of the four times I shipped abroad I was asked to falsify either the contents, the value, or both. Must be a common practice but I'm not comfortable with it!

The last time, shipping just a few miles north of the border to Canada, I was told my package needed to be opened up, re-packaged in a different box and sealed with special tape due to restrictions imposed by Canadian post. Oh, and a special form needed to be completed. I have nothing against Canada's bureaucracy, but for a guy with a 30-minute lunch this was more than I had bargained for. Not to mention the shipping I quoted the buyer ended up costing much more. On a $100 Wittnauer!

I keep thinking someday I'll expand my horizons. It's a small world after all. But until then, apologies to my friends outside the US, and many thanks to those outside the US who have kindly provided the US shipping address of a relative/colleague/agent.

I was asked why I feel this is the original bracelet.

The bracelet may not be original to this watch head. However, it is an original Omega bracelet.

Given the condition of the head and bracelet, frankly I had not considered it may be a replacement bracelet. I have searched images of this model, and I must say I now believe it may be a replacement bracelet.

I do not believe the question was asked to challenge my credibility (at least I hope not)! I am no expert, but I failed to separate fact from impression.

To anyone put off by the statement the bracelet was original to the watch, please accept my apologies. I do not in fact know if the bracelet is original to the watch, and I now believe it may be a replacement.

Thanks for your understanding!
