Please help me out on this one!

Could this be a genuine military watch?
It contains a 23.4 SC cal.
Serialnumber is around 9 mio.

Not yet. But the reference should be 2317/7

 

I just received this.

 

A ref 2317 should have a cal 30 based movement (30 T2). So a 23.4 would be wrong for this case.

 

Watch is incorrect at multiple levels. It has the wrong movement, the military markings are fake and the dial is refinished.

A correct Omega WWW should have a subdial (with 30T2 movement).

 

sure but I don't understand the effort you put into making such a fake. And the combo still looks to be rather old?

 

Well the pay off is quite obvious if the seller has some random parts worth little on their own and turns them into something he /she can sell for the going rate of a WWW military watch.

 

That's for sure . The seller demands around 1000 USD. But I for sure let it go.
