So you bought both a black dial and a white dial? Lucky you.

Hope you didn't pay too much.

Vintage quartz is not, on the whole, considered tremendously collectible, and in the condition its in- even less so. The low-end of the prices you see online is probably closer to reality than the higher end of asking prices.

I'm a fan of these and have a stainless steel version of this exact model which I spent a small fortune having serviced and restored. Even then I knew I was spending way more than the value of the watch, it was worth it to me as it was a rare variant and one I'd been after for years.

This one though won't have much value, the gold plated case is less desirable and condition isn't great. Plus most people know that without service history is a potential money pit.

At a guess $100-200 if running well. Next to zero if not. The price to fix these is many multiples of their value.

No, he bought a chrome dial.
You know your hummers and quartz stuff Jack, was I too pessimistic on price ? I was factoring in the scabby plating wear on the back.

I've got a couple of these in SS, nice watches but that case of yours is really shot, how can a watch be treated so badly ! Save it as a donor in case a nice non working SS version comes up.

As in the mirror dial? Like this...

I thought that was only in stainless and the gold plated one had kind of a slightly brown coloured reflective dial? I remember when I was chasing a mirror dial I questioned a few sellers of the gold plated ones and they always came back saying the dial wasn't exactly mirrored, more had some kind of light colour tone to them. The pics are always difficult to make out.
