·Hi All
I'm new here and having reached a significant birthday have purchased a 1969 Seamaster and more recently a 1916 pocket watch - my query relates to the pocket watch - just purchased should get it later in the week. I've done a bit of research, but my question relates to identification of the gold colour medals on the dust cover - I assume Omega won these at various exhibitions in early 20th century - does anyone know where I can identify them (one looks to be from 1914).
In terms of the watch it's a 1916/17 pocket watch (dealer says so and serial number agrees) (think movement is 19''' lepine orientation but I'm not sure how many jewels.) Hallmarks are interesting, swiss 0.800 silver with the German moon and crown (believe may have gone through Germany but may have not - got that from a well reference article on hallmarks - David Boettcher). There is a case number but I'm not sure if there are databases for those of this age.
Can anyone add any more? (and I can upload some more pictures of the medals when I have the watch)
Many thanks
