hello all, im new to the forum and a big Omega fan. I have an Omega Mariner Quartz, calibre 1320. see pics. It currently is not working. I have removed the back and replaced the battery but still nothing. Also the crown which has a central push button (i think to adjust the minutes) is loose and not attached to the movement. Would like to get it working again. Anyone have knowledge of these or possible age. Im guessing late 1970s. Feels a good weight and looks great on, just needs to tell the time now! or anyone know a good uk based repair specialist which is a reasonable price. regs Phil
seeing the corrosion inside the movement, i think you need a dodor watch and swap mvmts. kind regards. achim
Might want to get onto STS (Swiss Time Services) they seem to be among the last watchmakers able to correctly handle Omega Vintage Quartz watches. These Mariners incidentally I believe had a story around them, something about being strapped onto the front of an ice breaker during a voyage through the arctic circle to prove how tough they were in the 1970s
Talk to Simon at STS they certainly know what they're doing! Last time I was there Simon had just worked on one of these I have to say it was really stunning! And they feel great on the wrist.
thanks for your replies. Does anyone know where the stem and crown screw is on these these movements?
