Hi All,

After having thoroughly enjoyed @ConElPueblo 's thread on crowns ( https://omegaforums.net/threads/the-curious-case-of-controversial-constellation-crowns.54568/ ), and esp. his take on the 'it would be great if we knew more about it' 馃憤,
Why not have an alike discussion on the Omega logo on the dial. Unless there is a lot already written / published about that, in which case I will gladly be corrected.

Anyway: these 2 Seamasters are 6 digits apart at 13,89M. One might call them 'twins' as far as I know.
Which might date them at around 1953.

There is no reason to believe that they have had some kind of redial, looking at the pics.

And: look at the crowns...馃槣馃槣

However: the Omega logo is different.
It appears to be that around '52-'54 the logo changed.

So what to think of this??

BTW: either way, I love them!

Here are my three '53 vintage Omegas:

I realise that they aren't the same reference, but it could look as if the logo might have changed during that year... For the record, the Constellation featuring the "modern" logo is a very late 1953 production, going by serial numbers.

Dial outsourcing - different suppliers both correct.

Not wanting to take this thread off topic, but Mrs E. was just in here, I read the thread title aloud (sort of to myself) and said, "That looks interesting!". She gave me an odd look and walked off without saying anything.

Not a Seamaster, here's a 1954 Omega with a 344 movement.

Seller's photo of the movement pre-serviced.

These are great. I've always wanted a seamaster with the rust colored lume at the hour markers.

This is the earliest serial (could be too early) I've seen with the flat, sharp logo, sold recently on eBay.

PS: Hmm, looks like the movement is a franken.

Wow, that is low. My Constellation above has a 139XXXXX serial, the two Seamasters are both in the 13 mil range too.

Actually quite high... (for the price, that is 馃榿)

I just thought the serial could be too early and didn't notice the movement is a franken until after posted. So the serial more than likely doesn't apply for the logo on that watch.
