Unless I'm going mad, I'm sure I've read several times that original crystals have the Omega logo on them. Try as I might, I can't see one on the crystal of my brand new Speedmaster '57. Have I got that right - should there be one on there?

On new crystals they're pretty easy to see but you have to "get your eye in". Look across the watch face with a light source behind the watch and focus on the glass above the pinion that the hands rotate around. A loupe will help.

Pretty sure that the logo is only on the Hesalite crystals. The 9300 caliber Speedy '57s all have sapphire.

That's what I know as well, that the hesalite crystals have it. And for vintage pieces on some rare occasions the original crystals weren't marked.
