Omega Lobster leather strap

Hi ,

Does anyone have any idea where I might get a replacement leather strap for a lobster ?
Has the two end links near the head , the original strap is close to breaking

Believe replacements are hard to come by.
Any help appreciated.

A cloth strap will also work 🙄

Can you post photos of the one you have? Not that I have the answers, but a photo will help

Thanks for the reply, and yes that's the watch/strap combo in question. In fact the first image, that actually is my strap !!
I purchased from Dickstar , the head being originally on bracelet that he swapped out to his chrono !
I'm no purist, so not actually bothered about originality, just want a strap that suits it 😀

Ah well there you go, so you could ask him if he ever went through with his project of having the corfram strap fixed as he says he wanted to do in the thread I linked.

As for that Omega leather strap supposedly produced to replace the corfram strap I've been trying to find it since 2012 (a long running eBay search) and have never seen it so good luck with that !

Again thanks , I will reach out to him.

And yes mine is corfram, not leather. Just said leather as simpler !
Might just have to try and adapt an after market leather. I'm no purist !!

Oh so it's not the strap in the first picture over there he did go ahead with that project to have the corfram strep redone ? Probably best if you can post some pictures to avoid more confusion ;-)

This is how an original Omega NOS corfam on a clasp 27 looks like:

Wow, amazing ! I haven't seen any info on when Omega stopped making these available, possibly a few years after the Lobster was discontinued (1980 officially).
How has the material endured over the years, not too brittle ?

The strap itself is still flexible but I did not install it yet, since I sold my lobster two years ago. But I think any handmade leather or corfam will be possible because my strap includes the endlinks an the attachments for the No. 27 clasp too.

kind regards Max

Good to hear for the flexibility. Yes a handmade leather/corfram would be possible, just got to find the proper person to do it !

Yeah that's not corfram that's the leather strap that was visible in the first link I posted also from Dickstar ;-) Anyway back to square one as that leather replacement has never been seen since AFAIK.

Let us know when you do, I could use one myself as the lobster strap is nice to look at but not terribly comfortable ;-)
