Hi guys lovely looking watch here however a few questions and queries. Is the dial original? There's no Swiss Made which makes it questionable. Movement looks good to me just wanted some of your expert opinions as I'm sure I've missed a few things - Thanks!

You already noticed the two main issues with it. Wrong crown and no Swiss Made.

Some minute track markers are gone as well, could be either normal patina or signs of an old redial. Omega fonts look OK to me though

Yeah crown definitely an after market, however still unsure of the dial like you said fonts look good but no Swiss Made on a watch like this which is a 1960's watch is slightly worrying. Random question if you were to buy the watch how much would you pay?

If you look around the edges of the dial you can see humidity stains. That type of damage is likely the cause for missing markers and swiss made fonts. I think 200-250 tops would be a nice price.

Only thing is I love linen dials and they're tough to come across

    Totally agree.

It’s very difficult for a redialler to reproduce a textured dial like that.

This is why you can’t always judge original dials vs redials with poor quality pictures on the internet.

IMO, it is, but there is no way to know for sure without in-person viewing.

Okay thanks for your opinion, what would you price the watch at ? Seller is looking for 500 which I think is too much considering the crown isn't original and probably the glass isn't original either

I found the listing online. I would not pay £475 for this watch under any circumstances. Not even worth $475.

$200 to $300 max in this condition.

I think the dial is original but has been cleaned having lost some details in the process. Also concur with gator on value, gold plated cases, even the best ones are at the bottom of the desirability spectrum, with a less than perfect dial even more so.

I agree however it's gold filled not plated so the gold won't tarnish with time, 500 is too much I'd be willing to pay 350 for it considering most vintage Omega's are 300+ on eBay nowadays (well seamasters and constellation's are even pricier)

Case back clearly says PLAQUE OR G 20 MICRONS, 20 microns gold plate. Much less thickness than even a gold filled case.

Okay so it's gold plated, I'm not interested in the watch then, I don't want something that will tarnish

Had it been gold capped, you could easily polish it gently to remove tarnish. With a 20 µm plating, that is out of the question.
