Decided to put a leather band on my Dad's watch. Not sure how much Therese's should cost but see some on eBay. Any advice if these are real or likely fake? Or is there someplace else you would recommend? (Plymouth MI USA)

I should also say I prefer a short band if anybody can point me in that direction. My wrist is 6 3/4-7".

What does your dad's watch look like? We can get you close to period style in a decent aftermarket onto which you could put an Omega buckle.

There are some very readable (and interesting) posts on OF on the 'originality' of the buckles.

There is even a sticky on this
    https://omegaforums.net/threads/about-omega-buckles.37347/

Apart or next to that, the general consensus seems to be (sorry for over-simplifying): choose a nice strap and be happy with the yes/no 'originality' of the buckle.
And while you are at it: a nice watch deserves a nice strap. Get rid of the metal thingy and buy a decent strap.
It will do wonders for the appearance and ease of wear of the watch.

I do not mind spending money on a nice strap for a watch worth €800. Why not? A nice strap underlines and strengthens the whole experience.

Btw: this one is original to my 2766

And for my C-case, I thought: what the F and spent 150 (sorry for the bad lighting)

    Behold these two old ads...

The leather strap is a distinctive shape... but has no Omega symbol on it. That bracelet is also appropriate!

The strap is a light color leather. Tan pig, perhaps. Lightly padded, you can do a little looking on eBay, you'll find it.

The bracelet... Otto Frei use to have it. Omega might still sell it?

Either way, this will help you, I hope?
