I'm looking for help determinating the value of this piece , so far what I've found out it's a Omega 14700 from 1961 . eBay prices for these are around 750,- and on Chrono24 about 750 - 1250,- . So i think 750 for this is more real. However this is without logo of the Sheikh . What does this ad in value ? I know there were more than just a few pieces made but it must ad a bit more than over the value of a regular seamaster right? I know the forum is not for giving exact valuations and I don't expect that just a little help in the right direction. Of course pictures are king and I will soon add them, don't worry.
Thanks in advance

Quite the reverse I’m afraid, it potentially reduces the value as it limits your target audience.
There are a number of Middle Eastern badged watches around - Frequently from Saudi Arabia and often in precious metals.

However, if you can find a buyer in Bahrain then you might find it accrues a premium.

In most regions of the world, the addition of the logo of the Sheikh would reduce the value.

Nothing racial or xenophobic, it's just that will appeal to a very small group of collectors.

Yeah I had a feeling it might end up like that , the watch is part of an enheritance and has to be sold and divided. Perhaps it's better to give the watch to anyone within the family who wants the watch. It has a cool story to boot, one of the family member reveived the watch upon delivering a yacht to the Sheikh. not just him everyone delivering the yacht.

Not everyone in the market for a vintage watch is a collector. The more well-documented and detailed the story, the more likely a buyer will be charmed into wanting a nearly unique watch. I can't say the smiling sheikh on the dial does much for me, but the story behind it would make it a fun pickup for a certain type of buyer. It's indubitably a good watch.

The story is indeed very cool and should be of value to someone in your family.
(and should be written down)

What makes selling it more difficult to its ‘home’ is that Bahrain is a very small place.
there is only about a million Bahrainis in Bahrain and more than half of them don’t care for the ruling family.

Putting it on EBay with the hope that one of the loyal Bahraini diaspora might pick it up could be your best bet but keeping it in the family would be better.

Too bad you don't know what boat. The current owner might make a good buyer.

The Sheikh came into power in December 1961 so he wasted no time (pun intended) getting these pieces made.
