But that's like wearing the wrong size suit - it just doesn't fit me. Never liked the way they sit on my wrist, but everyone else should have as many as they can afford.
😲 Speedmasters are made to fit perfectly on 98.7 percent of all world wrists, excepting Bhutan. Seriously Dude. Perhaps you should consider wrist augment surgery. I just clicked on a WTF ad and read that The Wrist Club for Men is have a combined 2 for 1 sale with the Hair Club for Men, chance of a lifetime. 😜

Wrist implants maybe, beef him up a bit? He's writing for a gentleman's magazine now, maybe if he switched hands, in time the muscle would build up 😗

I've worn a 42 mm watch before - the Orange Monster and the Heuer Autavia.

I tried that wrist augmentation stuff. They screwed up and mistakenly did my forearms.

Ahh, I see the problem here. The 42mm is meant to be worn a little higher on the wrist. You need to remove a link or two. 😉

Actually though the problem is your forearms, they they are too manly and taper sharply into the wrist, sliding the watch down on to the hand. If you had nice girly wrists like most Canadians you would have no problem with big manly watches. 😁

I don't know if I'd insult the whole forum, but taper is essentially the problem. 😜 Most guys can wear a larger watch on the forearm side of the bone that sticks out on the side/back of their wrist (pisiform?). I can't. This causes the crown to dig in if it's located in the standard 3:00 position. 40 mm or larger dictates an offset like some Seikos have or opposite crown like the caliber 11/12/14/15's had.

You're right , I changed it to merely most Canadians. 😁

Changed again, as I realized , we like Australians. 😉

42mm isn't huge, it really doesn't wear that big!

I, (Through no fault of my own), saw Fifty Shades this passed Valentines, and it would seem he sports a couple of Omegas through out the course of the movie.
The opening sequence shows a very "Patrick Bateman-esc" grooming scene, where he pulls open a drawn, to reveal about 8 different watches, it flicked only for a moment, but from what I remember, most, if not all were Omegas.
Out of the 8, he wears two, both with leather straps.
The first was a stainless Aqua Terra Chrono with a white face, and the second, a Red or Sed...bla whatever it's called, gold Speedmaster co-axil automatic with the two sub-dials, instead of the three.

Terrible movie, nice watches. why a Billionaire would be wearing Omega sports watches and not Patek grande super complications is beyond me, but it appears that the authors oversight has followed through with a nice endorsement deal in the cinema.

Now an Omega with three small subdials, is not particularly specific, but what is notable is the lack of a date being mentioned, and the lack of any further complications, which would tend to indicate that the watch is a simple three register chronograph without date.
From what I've heard about the rest of the book (no, I haven't read it!), I'd attribute this more to lazy writing than intention.

I don't find it surprising at all that a billionaire would like Omega. All it takes is good taste. 😉

I think last night was the HBO premiere of that movie.

I could care less about the books and not much more about the movie. Sorry to disappoint anyone, but I was not looking at watches, I promise you.

Although I did find the Audis kind of strange. Maybe they paid more than Mercedes or BMW.

I wonder how many billionaires wear Omega? Not too many, I'd guess.
