I made it through a cascade of health catastrophes last year, and surprisingly, found comfort in wearing a trusted watch. [I did have to remove it a few times before being nuked in an MRI machine :) ]

Best wishes to you, for a speedy and complete recovery!

Thank you. Speedy MW is exactly the direction I am headed once I decide on the movement and new or used.

Good luck with everything. Just spent two weeks in hospital and had too many tubes in my arm to wear a watch.

Great to see that somebody else gains a bit of solace from a simple lump of metal and plastic/sapphire.

I recently underwent some nuclear bombardment and on the first day I wore my Speedie, it was comforting to me and helped pass the time until the machine was ready, just watching that dial ticking away the minutes was almost hypnotic and soothing in a strange way.

And imagine my surprise when one of the technicians said "nice Speedie Jim". After that I wore a different watch almost every day for the next three months and he was on the ball most of the time. He even started wearing some of his different watches when I was on his shift.

One of the more pleasant memories of a pretty shit time, I sincerely hope you feel the same soon.

    Cheers

    Jim
