Omega GSOTM - What Questions Should I Be Asking?

I am a relative newbie to this forum and I am looking to purchase my first speedy. I came across a watch posting via watchrecon and I am wondering if it falls in the too-good-to-be-true category.

It's for an Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon (Ref 311.93.44.51.99.001) with the original strap and buckle and the ceramic deployant clasp & strap. The warranty card is stamped and dated by an AD and has full Omega warranty until 2019.

They are asking $3,200 and there are pics from the posting at the bottom.

This would be my first purchase from a posting on a forum, so any input into if this looks legit or not and what questions I should be asking would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any advice and information.

I agree that price is in the to good to be true category.

    Always run reverse image search.

Great info, hadn't thought of the reverse image search. Appreciate the guidance!

That's a scam, the pictures came from my FS post. My watch has already been sold.

Disappointed to see this happening...is there anything I could have done differently to prevent other scammers from 'stealing' my photos and posts?

When I did the image search, it pulled up your old post from when you sold your watch. I'm not sure what you could have done differently, there is only one person who can make a dishonest person be honest and it's not you.

    Cheers!

If you listed via your mobile there is an app called PhotoMarkr you can select the colour, transparency and font also.

Here is one I've just done.

In Chrome you can also right click on an image and it will give you the option to "Search Google for Image"

Could also always have a piece of paper with date and time (and email address) in each shot...

This is terrible. I just removed all the listings from user "phoenixmartins" from the watchrecon index.

When I got my Co-Axial Speedmaster for a similar price it was only because the watch had cosmetic damage (badly dented bezel). It never occurred to me to do a reverse image search. Fortunately this seller was well respected. Feel like I dodged a bullet!
