No idea about the value, but the dial issue and the small case size will keep the price down.

As noted, dial refinished, this is not actually a Globemaster, nor was it ever.

I think it's refinished, script is a bit thick and differs from the 2nd Gens I've seen particularly with the G.

I think you are correct, but it's really difficult to tell. This is only manual wind Globemaster I can find from a source I trust (Mondodec).

    Hi ,
I am very pleased I happened across this thread and the photo that Gatorcpa posted of a Hand wind Omega Globemaster .
I have what seems to be the same watch and have been trying to find out more about it since I acquired it about 10 years ago .

Because of the Globemaster name I came to believe that it was a tariff import to the USA in the 50's . TWA sued for infringement of the name Constellation so The Importer changed the name from Constellation to Globemaster to get around high tariffs the USA imposed on Swiss watches .
The movements were imported and cased in STAR watch cases among others I believe .

Pardon if my recollection of these accounts is not precise as it has been a while since I did some of this history research .

I would appreciate any info on this watch even if it's negative ..............Thanks..........

The above is correct, but only with respect to 1st generation Globemasters from the early 1950’s. which were exactly the same as the Constellation sold everywhere else.

These later models were sold alongside Constellations in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s.
