The new model is an amazing watch in every way in its own right. However, it does not look like the original unless the original had different variations.

I think a beautiful new edition that pays tribute to the past but proudly displays the new... is most acceptable.

If you are expressing a preference for the vintage, I understand fully!

I have a wish for a 1951 tdmp as a grail piece.....



but recognize it as too fragile and too rare.

Still, I would love to have this in the safe, to drool over as "my precious" and would proudly wear a "Museum" as a tribute.

I look at the Globemaster the same way, a classic look modernized.
