I'd like to say this was a surprise but....

41mm case, annual calendar complication, no day indicator, calibre 8922 in-house METAS certified movement.

Quite sure @meganfox17, the news will break on watch websites soon I'm sure.

I'm probably a bit color blind but where are you seeing Red Guava Pink? The date window text is dark blue/black to me.

The thing that I like about Omega is that they do reissues but they also try new designs. I'm very happy this doesn't have a vintage Connie look because I'm not the type of guy to wear those types of Connies.

what is it about watch companies slapping any old combination of fonts and sizes on a dial. Still not convinced about the globemaster until I see one in person, but by the gods I hate this.

The regular Globemaster is beautiful, and I think once you've seen that, this will make more sense. I like em both.

The text is butt ugly and the whole point of the watch is idiotic. There are 12 months and you have 12 normal indexes - why not let 1 be January, 2 Feb. - etc? I cannot believe Omega would make such a watch - I do not believe it until I see it.

Hmm... edit - that would obstruct the date for a month... If not shortening the hand.

A perfect example of how to cheapen a classy restrained design with afterthought

I agree, the regular Globemaster from last year is amazing. This on the other hand is not my cup of tea. Weird fonts and placement of the month names.

Yeah, my initial response was ::puke::

It's quite an ugly watch indeed with this weird mishmash of elements.

There's a way to use a shortened hand (like @styggpyggeno1 mentioned) to indicate the months using the hour markers as month markers, which Moser has done elegantly in their QP.

Omega chose this hideous workaround instead.::facepalm1::

Like H Moser & Cie does for their Endeavour perpetual calendars ;)? I think people would then complain about that.

I fear this is "Sides of the Moon" all over again, and more specifically, the White Side of the Moon. Everyone loved the Dark and Grey, and then the variations kept coming until Omega finally hit upon one that was really polarizing. Seems the standard Globemaster everyone loves (ok, most everyone). We've got the gold variations, the Platinum version (oh HELL YES !!! I think we'll be seeing one here on Omegaforums very very soon from one of our members), and the strap variations. All pretty safe stuff. Now comes the annual calendar and it changes the look entirely. Gotta give it to Omega for being bold.

A few live pics are now on Instagram. I suspect this is going to look much better in person/in natural light.

It's gonna be hard to disguise the fundamental wrongness of the dial tho ;)

The charm of the letter type used for the text `Globemaster`, then in the 1950´s, and also now in 2016, was in its subtle and restrained use. With one foul swoop this subtlety and restraint has been wiped out with typical overkill
