Hello!
This is my first post, need some help. I hope make it right.
I faced this Omega Geneve said to be a 298.05618 cal 565.
I noticed it has the crystal marked, the movement seems in good condition and legit.
But this dial is very singular, actually I couldn’t find nothing similar.
Anyone can help me if this is real dial?
What your thoughts?

Let's see if I learned anything by studying examples from this forum 😀

The hands and the crown are not correct for this reference. Here are some examples of how they should look like:

The same dial color as yours (but with Cal 552)

And here is one with Cal 565

Great! Thank you very much.
I might work on it to return original parts.

I noticed the samples you posted have different positions of “t-swiss…” engrave. Mine has the t-swiss above the m in minutes track and date windows.

That should be a 166.070. Not sure where 298.05618 is coming from, but that's not right.

Photos are terrible but dial looks damaged, hands incorrect, crown incorrect, case looks polished, and movement doesn't appear in great shape. I would personally pass on this watch independent of the price.

A few examples sold in this forum, so you can get an idea of the price to condition ratio: one, two, three, four.

I believe OP mistook the serial number (without the dot) as the reference number. If I take a look at the case back the ref number is indeed 166.070.

my intention is to work on it. as you said, I need proper hands and crown (if this bothers me). I will also service as soon as my patience allows. Need to check on timegraph

I didn’t understand what you mean regarding the polished case, should it be another process?

What I mean is that the case looks like it has been polished to remove scratches, which results in sharp corners (like the lugs) getting softer. At least what I can tell from the provided photos.
