Dear all. I decided to take on a project. Or at least collect all the pieces of the jigsaw for a watchmaker to put together for me. I have got the case and dial and a movement but I am looking for the hands for the jumbo (36mm) Omega 2748. I have a NOS dial and a polished case, although I would prefer a sharper one. Can someone point me in the right direction for where I could find these hands or if they have a part number? CousinsUK doesn't seem to sell them anymore sadly as they're obsolete. Finally with regards to the movements, I have a calibre 265, and have seen 265, 266, 267 and 268 calibers in these geneves. Are they all interchangeable, or are specific ones for specific models / dials, I imagine I'll need to get the 268. But I would like to have this confirmed if anyone knows The dial I bought is this style, because I enjoy the sunken sub second:
I'm not quite sure if I got you right... Do you own the watch in the first picture? Are you intending to make a Franken?
No I don't own the watch in the first pic, I own another one, with the same dial as the second pic, but in bad shape. The hour markers on mine and the hands are rose gold, so I wanted to get some steel hands so that they match the dial that I intend to replace the damaged one with. Sorry for the ambiguity - it's late here. The top pic is another 2748 with hands that I put there for reference.
I found some hands on ebay that will fit a cal 360 and 501 I've asked for the lengths, but they are also this shape daupine. Do you know if they would fit a 268 calibre? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Minu...rentrq:d1179eef1710ad4b226b0ae8ffcb61d8|iid:1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
No they won't fit. Cal. 360, 501: hole sizes are 1.50 x 0.80 x 0.18mm Cal. 266,268: are 1.40 x 0.75 / 0.19mm It may help you: https://omegaforums.net/threads/jumbo-genève-2748-6-cal-268.6833/page-2
